Why a margin and not a size up. An oversized coil reaches setpoint before it has dehumidified, then short-cycles: humidity stays high, the room swings, and the motor and valve wear faster than they were sized for. This tool holds the margin at 10–15% and tells you when the next size up is the wrong answer. Sound figures are at the selected external static pressure; low and medium speed run quieter than the high-speed figure shown.
