An air handling unit (AHU) is a modular device that filters, heats, cools, humidifies and circulates conditioned air through a building’s ductwork. A commercial or industrial AHU is built to order for a specific airflow, external static pressure and filtration class, it isn’t the same as a residential “air handler” or a packaged rooftop unit.
